These terms are an agreement between you and Curious AI Consulting, LLC (“we”, “us”), the provider of Curious Campaigns, a browser-based fantasy city role-playing game and dungeon-building tool (the “Service”). By creating an account or continuing to use the Service you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation you confirm you have authority to bind it; otherwise you confirm you are of legal age to enter a contract.
The Service
Curious Campaigns provides a free town to explore, an optional six-month campaign pass that seats one Dungeon Master and up to five players at a table, and optional modules (cities, dungeon packs, campaign settings and rules expansions). Modules are licensed to a campaign table, not to an individual account. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within the plan and modules your table holds.
Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- break the law, or facilitate fraud, spam or harassment;
- infringe anyone’s intellectual property or publish content you have no rights to;
- interfere with the security or integrity of the Service — including malware, probing, penetration attempts, automated scraping, or circumventing technical or plan limits;
- reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the Service or its content.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential, for all activity under your account, for the accuracy of the information you give us, and — if you are a Dungeon Master — for the campaign table you administer.
Your content
Dungeons, quests, maps, characters and chat you create remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to operate the Service for you and your table.
AI features
The Service includes an AI Dungeon Master assistant. Its output is generated automatically, may be inaccurate or inconsistent, and is intended for entertainment. You are responsible for your prompts, for how you use the output, and for having the rights to any content you submit. We may filter, refuse or remove generated content, and may suspend accounts used to produce unlawful or abusive material.
Intellectual property
We retain all rights in the Service, its software, artwork, city content, documentation and branding. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any of it to you.
Service level
We work to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Payment and subscription terms
The campaign pass is a six-month term billed in advance and renewing every six months until cancelled. Modules are one-time purchases. Each six-month term includes five module credits that the Dungeon Master may spend on eligible modules; unspent credits do not carry over beyond the term in which they were granted.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal in your account; access continues until the end of the term you have already paid for. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy (14-day window).
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination your access ends; you may request an export of your saved characters and dungeons within 30 days, after which the data may be deleted.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and we exclude indirect, consequential or special damages including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it. You indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use, or your breach of these terms.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Curious AI Consulting, LLC is established, and its courts have jurisdiction over disputes. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it as part of a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept it.
